The shortage of dermatologists in Brazil creates barriers to equitable access to dermatological care. This study proposes machine learning strategies for automated diagnosis of facial dermatological lesions using public datasets. It addresses issues such as ethnic representativeness, algorithmic bias, and technological limitations, highlighting the potential of automated tools to enhance healthcare access.
